I've been reading all the recent posts about fading in/out
bitmaps in a picturebox. I have written a simple routine
that does this, and best of all, it does not require screwing
around with palettes and DIBs.

It works with any kind of graphics file that can be loaded
into a picturebox and can also create transparent fadeins/fadeouts.
If you don't want to do a transparent fadein, then just copy the
background and picbox into memory and blt the two into the
destination picbox.

To fade-out, just change the blt source to the background on the
blt near the end.
