Site Explorer
|
|
In order to help you better utilize the resources on
Visual Basic Explorer, I have grouped some of the
material on this page in broader categories. As the site
continues to grow I will do my best to group the material
in the most logical fashion. Maintaining this site is a
big job, and as much as I'd like to do it quicky it often
takes some time to implement changes. I hope that this
page will help you find needed resources while I continue
to reorganize new and existing content.

Source Code
|
| |
Source code may be found on several places on the
site including the Source Code, FAQ, ToolBox and Tips
& Tricks pages. In addition there are many useful
routines and source in the different downloads and
tutorials available on this site and on the message
boards (these are all covered in the next few sections).

Online Purchasing
|
| |
Visual Basic Explorer offers online purchasing of select VB products as part of a cooperative effort with VBxtras Online Catalog. We also have a BookStore with reviews of a variety of books that may interest you. A great deal of thought has gone into my choices of partners and products, as I wanted to be sure that each represented a good value for you. While I have done my best to provide an honest evaluation of each item, the decision of worth and purchasing is ultimately yours. There is no obligation to buy anything. Read the reviews, download any free demos and decide for yourself if particular product meets your needs. A portion of the proceeds for any sales at these stores go to help support VB Explorer. The product line will continue to expand based on your suggestions for items you would like to see featured.

Downloads
|
| |
You can find some great sample projects on the site
that you can use to learn different techniques, or even
use as the basis for your own projects. Many of the
programs may also have modules and functions which you
can cut and paste into your own programs. Most of the
tutorials also have downloads which can be downloaded
directly from the tutorials individual pages.

Help
|
| |
As a beginner you may often get stuck on a particular
problem, or simply want to understand how something
works. Besides the downloads and code samples which you
can review, the main resources you may want to check out
are the tutorials and VB Forums. The FAQ page also
has some questions that were previously answered on the
message boards.
Please post your 'how-to' questions to the message
boards rather than emailing them to me personally. Aside
from the fact that I am still a VB novice I also get
200-300 email messages a day, most of which are the
'HelpMe!' type questions. I can't handle these alone,
which is why I started the message boards. Questions or
suggestions other than code will be answered as I am
able.

Other Resources
There are many other unique resources on this web site
and I expect to continue to add more as I am able. Take
your time and explore every corner. If you'd like to see
a particular resource go ahead and send me your
suggestions. If you want to keep informed of any major
changes or additions be sure to sign up for the
newsletter on the main page.
