The EasySound ActiveX Control provides the Visual Basic 
developer a friendlier and easier interface to Microsoft 
DirectX sound technology. The control is specifically designed 
for Visual Basic, but may work in other environments which 
support ActiveX. 

This functionality is already part of the EasyX download but
Søren broke out the sound part for those who only need the 
sound (its a much lighter download). It should also work with DX 7 
assuming that MS follows their own COM rules.

Note: This control is provided as unsupported freeware by
Søren Christensen. You are free to use this in your personal
development or in commercial applications but may not sell
or otherwise distribute this control without the express 
written consent of the author.

This control was originally a shareware offering by Søren and 
a pretty good one at that. If you find the control useful why
not send him a message and let him know you liked it.

The installation installs only the easysound.ocx. There are no
samples or readme included in this particular package. You can
find the 'Sound & Games' tutorial on the tutorial page. It 
includes basic information on using the control. There is also 
an appendix on the same page with some additional information.
The tutorial has some sample programs which use the control and
the WindWalker sample on the game page also uses the control.
