All Downloads If you want to see all available downloads listed on one page this is the page for you. Currently this does not include items on the ToolBox or Contest Downloads pages but I am working on integrating those items as well. This page is pretty big so it may load slower which is another reason why I broke up the categories.
General Visual Basic This section house a variety of Visual Basic downloads that don't fit into one of the other categories. New categories will be created as the need arises and some of these will be shuffled out. If you have a hard time finding an item you have seen previously try selecting the All Downloads option.
API & SubClassing Using API's and Subclassing are areas that fill many beginners with trepidation. Yet they are often the best, or only way to get certain things done from VB. This section features some samples that should prove useful. You will also want to check the book section and look for other tutorials as these items can have some unexpected effects if you make a mistake. Chances are that you can't damage your system, but since you will be fiddling with the stuff windows uses to copy, delete, format and perform other critical operations it's best to do some reading.
Multimedia & Graphics Here you will find samples related to multimedia and graphics programming. This includes game programming related downloads and effects that you can use to spice up your programs.
String & Text Manipulation There isn't much doubt that one of the things programmers spend a lot of time handling string operations and massaging text. You'll find some basic examples here and there are also some good items in the Source Code section. I expect this page to grow quite a bit more as this area accounts for many beginner questions.
